Terms of Service

Last updated: August 28, 2026. These terms are a contract between you and Vetall. Please read section 4 (what a score is not) and section 5 (acceptable use) carefully: they define the limits of what this product is for.

1. Agreement

By installing the Vetall extension or using vetall.app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old, and if you are using Vetall for an organisation you confirm you may bind it to these terms.

2. What the service is

Vetall reads the public activity of a Reddit account and produces an automated, heuristic assessment of the patterns in that activity, to help you decide how much diligence to apply before engaging with a stranger. It is a browser extension plus a website for managing your account.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Reddit, Inc. in any way. Reddit is a trademark of Reddit, Inc.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use. One person, one account; do not share, resell or transfer access to your account or its checks.

4. What a score is, and what it is not

This section is the most important one in these terms.

• Scores, tiers, signals, reports and advice are automated estimates generated by an AI model. They are opinions about observable patterns in public activity. They are not statements of fact about any person, and they can be wrong.
• An assessment describes an account, not the human being behind it. Vetall does not know who anyone is and does not try to find out.
• A high score is not a guarantee of honesty, safety, or that a transaction will go well. A low score is not proof of wrongdoing. Both are prompts to apply your own judgement.
• You must not treat a Vetall assessment as the sole basis for any decision, and specifically not as the sole basis for any decision producing legal or similarly significant effects on a person, including moderation, employment, tenancy, credit, insurance, or exclusion from a service.
• Vetall is not a consumer reporting agency, its output is not a consumer report, and it must not be used for any purpose regulated by the US Fair Credit Reporting Act or equivalent laws elsewhere, including eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing.
• You remain solely responsible for your own decisions and for anything you do with an assessment.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• harass, threaten, defame, dox, brigade or retaliate against anyone, or use Vetall output to help others do so;
• publish or republish assessments as accusations, "scammer lists", walls of shame, or any public directory of scores;
• present an assessment as a factual claim about a person, or strip it of the disclosure that it is automated and may be wrong;
• use Vetall for the regulated purposes listed in section 4;
• assess accounts in bulk beyond the limits of your plan, resell access or output, or build a competing dataset from it;
• circumvent quotas, rate limits or paywalls, reverse engineer the service, or interfere with its operation or security;
• use automated means to access the service other than the extension we publish;
• breach Reddit's own User Agreement in your use of Reddit. Your relationship with Reddit is yours to keep in good standing.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section. Where a breach is serious, ongoing, or exposes another person to harm, we may act immediately and without notice.

6. Checks, plans and what you are buying

A check is spent only when Vetall reads a profile from scratch. Serving a cached assessment is always free, on every plan including Free, and re-checking an account that has not changed does not spend a check. No single account can cost more than one paid read per day, no matter how many times it is looked at.

• Free includes seven lifetime fresh checks and unlimited cached badges.
• Scout and Analyst include a monthly allowance of fresh checks, which resets each billing period and does not roll over.
• A deep-dive report costs three checks, because it runs a deeper and more expensive analysis.

Allowances are a licence to use the service during your billing period, not a stored balance you own. Unused checks expire at the end of each period.

7. Billing, renewals and price changes

Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or yearly as you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices exclude any tax we are required to collect, which is added at checkout.

Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep what you paid for until then.

If we change prices, we will give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice before it applies to their renewal, and you may cancel before then.

If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it succeeds.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from your billing page. You then choose between:

• Keeping access until the end of the period you paid for, after which the account moves to Free; or
• Cancelling immediately with a refund of the unused part of that period. The used part is charged at the monthly rate for whichever is greater, the time elapsed or the fresh checks you actually used, so a refund never covers checks already spent and yearly discounts apply only to completed years. Where a plan changed mid-period, each stretch is charged at the rate of the plan you were actually on. The card processing fee our payment provider retains on a refund is deducted, and immediate refunds are available once per twelve months per account.

Saved deep-dive reports remain readable on every plan, including Free, after a downgrade or cancellation.

Nothing here limits any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you may have as a consumer, for example under UK or EU consumer law. Where such a right applies, it applies in addition to the above.

9. If you are assessed by Vetall

If you hold a Reddit account that has been assessed, you have rights whether or not you use Vetall, and you exercise them yourself on the data options page. You show the account is yours by sending a one-time code we give you to our Reddit account in a chat message, or by signing in with Reddit where that is available. Naming an account alone does nothing.

• Delete what we hold. Decided by a person, normally within days and always within one month, and granted in all but exceptional cases. The account is then not assessed for at least 30 days; afterwards it could be assessed again from public activity as it stands then, and you may delete again at any time, free.
• Object to being assessed at all. If upheld, we delete what we hold and stop assessing the account for 12 months, renewable. A person decides each objection, weighing any live assessment others are relying on to avoid fraud, and we give reasons if we refuse.
• Contest an assessment on the dispute form. A verified holder gets an immediate re-assessment rather than a queue.

10. Intellectual property

We own the service, the extension, the website, our rubric and our branding. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service under these terms. You keep whatever rights you have in the content you submit to us, and you grant us the licence we need to operate the service for you. Assessments generated for you are yours to use for your own diligence, subject to sections 4 and 5.

11. Availability and change

We aim to keep Vetall available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature materially, or shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

The service depends on Reddit and on third-party AI providers. If they change, restrict access, or fail, parts of Vetall may stop working through no fault of ours.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy, reliability or completeness of any assessment.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost business, lost data or loss of goodwill, however caused.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars.

In particular, and without limiting the above, we are not liable for any loss arising from a transaction you entered into, or declined to enter into, in reliance on a Vetall assessment. The decision is always yours.

If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.

14. Indemnity

If you use Vetall in breach of section 4 or section 5 and a third party brings a claim against us because of it, you will indemnify us for the reasonable losses and legal costs we incur, provided we notify you promptly and let you participate in the defence. This does not apply to consumers acting outside any trade or profession, to the extent local law prohibits it.

15. Termination

You may stop using Vetall at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where required by law. On termination your licence ends; sections 4, 5, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16 survive. We will delete or anonymise your data as described in the Privacy Policy, keeping only what the law requires us to keep.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

17. General

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice to account holders by email or in-product notice, and the change takes effect at the end of that notice period. Continuing to use Vetall after that means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you may cancel and, where you have prepaid, receive a refund of the unused part.
